Aside from the significant costs, veterinarians agree that boarding your animals for any length of time can place a huge strain on their well-being – both physically and emotionally. Taking your pets on holiday with you can be an unpleasant and even terrifying experience for them when you consider the cargo holds, travel containers, motion sickness, unfamiliar surroundings, hostile strange animals, unfamiliar food, etc. Let House Hawks allow you to avoid all that by offering your beloved pet reliable and attentive care and companionship in their own or in our home.
Please note. All animals must be trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, non-aggressive and people friendly. As a humane company, in the interests of your pet, House Hawks will only provide pet care for up to 2 weeks except in special and agreed upon circumstances, i.e., birds, fish or reptiles.
In addition to feeding, exercising and snuggling (not if it’s a reptile ;), we will also ensure a continuously clean environment for them, including litter and cage changes. Reduce pet trauma by allowing them to continue in their own environment and routines while also avoiding costly boarding fees and the risks of contagious infections such as kennel cough. Let their only problem be missing you!
If you want to keep up on what’s happening at home, we can provide brief updates to you or, if you prefer, a designated contact back at home so that you can focus on your vacation or work abroad.
While we focus on small dogs & cats in and around Halifax, a free telephone consult will determine if we are a good fit for your pet. It’s particularly frustrating when we have a dog with separation anxiety which can limit our freedom to do the everyday things we love or need to do. If you need a pet-sitter for a few hours away to enjoy a dinner out, get some shopping done, or attend an appointment or meeting which isn’t dog-friendly, we would also be happy to help – we would simply need to conduct a brief and free telephone consult to see if we, and our #CassiAndLeila are a good fit for you and your pup. If it is determined that we can’t meet your needs, we are always happy to refer to another trusted service provider near you.
